All involved are safe with no serious injuries reported
January 27, 2011 – Dean Foods and its local dairy, Garelick Farms in Lynn, Massachusetts, are relieved to announce that everyone has been rescued from the partial roof collapse due to heavy snow at the company’s warehouse facility. There are no serious injuries reported, and all employees are accounted for. The facility involved is not a Garelick Farms manufacturing plant but is an adjacent warehouse that the company subleases a portion of to a car storage operation. The portion of the roof that collapsed was not in the Garelick Farms area of the warehouse and should not impact plant operations. Customers who are dependent on their fresh dairy deliveries were minimally impacted by this event, and all deliveries were back on schedule by late morning.
We appreciate the concern and support for all involved and the quick actions of the local fire and rescue operations. Today we join the community in celebrating a safe outcome.
